Chelsea fans expected more from their team in the Champions League and certainly did not think that after two rounds their favorite team would be at the bottom of the table in Group E. Tonight at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will welcome Italian champions Milan and try to achieve against them the first victory in this competition. The London club unpleasantly surprised the fans at the start of the competition in the Champions League, as they were defeated by Dinamo in Zagreb in a match that cost manager Thomas Tuchel his job, and then his successor Graham Potter made his debut in the second round with a draw against Salzburg in London. The team is still adjusting to Potter's style of play and the match against a very good Milan comes at a perhaps bad moment for Chelsea. During the winter transfer window, Chelsea's management decided to bring in defensive players, while they brought in only Sterling and Aubameyang in attack. Werner and Lukaku left the club and it is obvious that Chelsea has a lot of problems with efficiency. In the last game in the championship against Crystal Palace, they struggled a lot and managed to win with a late goal in the 90th minute. Potter will not be able to count on N'Golo Kante and Cucurella for this match, while Jorginho's participation in this match is also in question.

Milan, on the other hand, started the competition in the Champions League much better. The opening draw against Salzburg was followed by a 3-1 victory against Dinamo. In the last round of the domestic championship, with late goals in stoppage time, Milan won against Empoli away from home and they are coming to London in a very good mood. They play very good games in the league and are currently in the fifth position in the table with only three points less than the first position. Milan does not have imperative of winning in this match and they would certainly be satisfied with one point, but that certainly does not mean that they will only defend themselves in this match. They have an excellent midfield made up of great young players like Rafael Leao, Saelemaekers and De Ketelaere who play very well together. Both teams have top quality players in their ranks and I believe that we will watch a very uncertain match that will be decided by the details. Chelsea is set as a big favorite in this match, but I'm not sure that it should be like that considering the form in which both teams are. Italian clubs are known for the fact that they know how to play for the result, and I'm pretty sure that we will be able to see that in today's match, in which I expect that Milan can reach at least one point.
