Nigeria is the best female team that Africa has to offer historically and usual they are a tough team to beat in the World Cup's, especially in the early games because of their strenght and speed and in their preparation for this tournament they played 2 friendly games that they won, 2:1 against Haiti and 3:0 against New Zealand showing some decent signs and for sure will give them a big confidence boost and they will need it in this group, 3 strong teams but only 2 will advance.

Canada in the last decade had a tremendous evolution in women football but their golden generation is pratically over, however, they are still a very good team don't get it twisted but I think they were better 4 years ago and for this tournament they played 1 friendly game where they lost 1:2 against France and for Canada it's the same situation than Nigeria, in this group only two will advance what makes this game very important for both teams.

I can understand why Canada is the favourite in this game but I don't think they are this favourite, Nigeria has always gave them problems because of the speed they have in the attack and also this game will be played in Australia where's weather should benefit Nigeria too, overall, the difference between both teams isn't this big in my opinion and I think that Nigeria will have their chances here to come out with a good result, I don't see Canada smashing Nigeria here so I doubt that they will win here by 2 goals or more, I wouldn't be surprised to see Nigeria getting a draw here, so take Nigeria +2 here.
