AS Monaco vs FC Nantes

Lets talk a bit about Monaco from last season, they ended the season in 3rd place and where only 5 points behind the Champions Lille but the most impressive in my opinion was the work that Coach Niko Kovac has done with Monaco, he put this team playing at a high level and made a tremendous job there and I believe that in his 2nd season they could fight for the title once again, the big problem is PSG who is a loaded team with so many talent that if PSG plays well no one in France will have a chance to challenge them, but that was also true last season and Lille managed to win the league title, however, Monaco is clearly one of the best teams in France since Coach Niko Kovac took control of the team. What makes this team dangerous in their attack, they play a very atractive football and last season they had both strikers in the Top 5 scorers, Wissam Ben Yedder scored 20 goals, only behind Kylian Mbappe and Kevin Volland scored 16 goals and even both players scored a lot they both needed some time before they clicked, in the end of the season they started to score regulary.

Lets talk a bit about Nantes, they are lucky to be in the Ligue 1 because they ended the season on a strong winning streak and conquered a lot of points to get at least the 18th place what would put them in the Playoffs and in the Playoffs they got lucky once again against Toulouse, they won 2:1 on the road and lost 0:1 at home and with that they maintained the team in the Ligue 1. This season I think they will have once again a hard time, they lost a key player in Louza to Watford, he was a key player in this team and they found no back-up for them and if we look at their pre-season results, 2 wins and 4 losses in 6 games and against weak competition, they will for sure struggle this season once again.

Monaco are already in season mode, they faced in the Champions League qualifications Sparta Praha on the road and beat them 2:0 and it could have been easily by more but with a 2 goal advantage they can take this season opener seriously and Nantes is one of their favourites teams to face, they won the last 6 games against Nantes and at home they beat Nantes 7 times in a row and I believe they will do it again here, this Monaco team was last season the best home team in the league and I see that happen here once again, I think this team will be play even better than last season in Niko Kovac 2nd year has a coach, he has this team playing the style of football that he wants and they will be good from the start, last season they had some issues in the start but than started to play really on a high level and this season I expect them to start play well from the geko, I like Monaco to win this game and I wouldn't be surprised to see them winning this one even easily, so if you guys have the chance to beat on Monaco -1AH do it, I expect them at least to win this game but wouldn't be surprised to see them winning big either, I can see this game end in a 2:0 or 3:0, maybe Nantes scores 1 goal but overall I see this Monaco attack scoring multiple times in this game.
