Crvena Zvezda VS Pafos FC

Crvena Zvezda is always one of the elite teams to make the Champions League in this phase, they have the experience and usually they are able to conquer it, than in the group stage they have no chances and this season it seems we will have the story once again. In their first elimination round they had no problems in beaten Lech Poznan, 3:1 on the road at 1:1 at home, that home game they were dominating the whole time and than got a red card early in the 2nd half and controlled the game, they suffered a late goal but overall they controlled the whole elimination and could have easily won by more if that red card doesn't happen. Now they will face Pafos who has been a good surprise but they are clearly the favourites here to win this elimination.

Pafos has been a good surprise here even with lack of experience they eliminated Maccabi Tel Aviv with 1:1 at home and 1:0 win on the road, however, that road win came because of a red card in the 1st half for Maccabi Tel Aviv if that wouldn't happen I think they would have lost because with 11 vs 11 Maccabi was always the better team on the field. In their second elimination they beat Dyn. Kiev with two wins, quite impressive because even Dyn. Kiev isn't the same team from their glory days they still were the underdogs in those games and won both, it's true that Kiev wasn't effective with the chances they had but still impressive from Pafos.

Even Crvena Zvezda is the favourite here and have the experience on their side this 1st leg will be very important, they need to win it and it would be nice if they win by multiple goals because in this part of the year going to play football in Cyprus is tough and it will not be easy for them too for the 2nd leg so this turns this game very important to get a positive outcome and overall I believe they will get it, their fan base usually shows up big time in this type of games and their team has started the season pretty well with good performances and with their attack creating tons of chances during their games, they just need to get a bit better in taking care of those chances and even Pafos has been a good surprise so far in this Champions League phase I think it ends here because on the other side is a very well coached team under Vladan Milojevic who in this type of eliminations don't play around and have a great track record, so take Crvena Zvezda to win this game here.
